A local village cricket field provided the perfect setting for a marquee reception following the marriage of Philippa and Richard; the only drawback being the marquee could not be erected until the day before the wedding. This resulted in lots of frantic activity on the morning of the wedding with Richard volunteering to vacuum the marquee carpet before getting ready to go to church.

One of Philippa’s wishes was to go to church in her friend’s Landrover, which she wanted decorating with sunflowers.

Bright pink Asiatic lilies and gerberas provided the theme and colour for the wedding.  Lots of outdoor games were arranged and when it finally got dark and the rock band started most guests were to be found on the dance floor.
